AWIC: browser, MCP and SCPI control for cheap USB scopes and logic analyzers

AWIC controls FX2-based USB logic analyzers and oscilloscopes that sigrok supports, from a Rust server with native USB drivers. Agents reach it through MCP, people through a web UI and scripts through an SCPI socket; it also switches USB hub port power. It runs on Linux and was built with Claude Code. The README says every feature works on hardware.

Why this evidence label?

README says it is in use on a real bench and lists confirmed device IDs; no captures or screenshots of hardware runs.

Briefing

Supported devices are FX2 8-channel 24 MHz logic analyzers (USB ID 0925:3881) and FX2 2-channel scopes (04b4:602a, which re-enumerate as 1d50:608e). AWIC tells them apart by USB bus path, because a scope in logic mode has the same ID as a logic analyzer. It ships as a single static Linux x86_64 binary, with SCPI on TCP port 5025 and MCP over Streamable HTTP or a stdio proxy.

The project is licensed MPL-2.0. A power supply module and data export are planned.
