Beee: an ESP32-S3 desk face where agents ask for a physical yes or no

Beee puts an animated face on a Waveshare ESP32-S3 touch screen that agents reach through an HTTP API or an MCP server. An agent can show moods and short text, or ask a question and wait until a person taps an answer. Critical actions get a flashing red border and a countdown. README photos show the face on the device.

Briefing

The firmware serves its own dashboard and REST API on port 80 at beee.local. An approval request carries an id, question, options, urgency and optional timeout, and the HTTP client polls for the answer; the MCP tools block until someone taps. Recent decisions are kept in a history. A background script watches git repositories for commits and pushes, and a wrapper command shows a progress bar during a build or test and reacts to its exit code.

The author built and tested it only on the Waveshare board, which has no motion sensor, so screen flips are sent as commands. Setup on Windows runs through build.bat, which asks for the COM port, language (English or French) and Wi-Fi details, then compiles and uploads with PlatformIO.
