Claude Fable 5 designs an RP2350 e-ink board through a KiCad MCP server

A Reddit user had Claude Fable 5 design an RP2350 e-ink board through a KiCad MCP server, allowing no manual edits. Wccftech reports several rounds to fix wrong part picks. Five assembled boards cost 130 euros plus $450 in API credits, and Claude Opus 5 wrote the firmware. Photos show the board driving its 1.54-inch display.

Briefing

The requirements named the RP2350, a GDEY0154D67-FL04 1.54-inch e-ink panel, four buttons, an I2C connector and some broken-out GPIO. The rule was that Fable 5 would handle every problem before manufacturing, with no manual verification either.

The 130 euros came to about $150. Besides the board driving its display, the photos include a labeled close-up and two routing layouts, one with 709 segments and one with 1,116. Wccftech reported the project from a post in r/ClaudeAI; we did not read the original post.
