Flux opens a public MCP server so coding agents can read live PCB designs

Flux added a public MCP server to its PCB design tool in its summer update. External agents such as Claude, Cursor and Codex can query a board's live context and drive design changes. The post gives firmware headers generated from actual pin assignments and net names as one use. The update also adds a lower-cost chat mode.

Briefing

The server exposes the live state of a Flux project to agents outside Flux; the post lists Claude, Cursor, Devin, Codex, ChatGPT and Notion AI. Its second example has an agent find a conflict between the hardware and the software and ask Flux to update the schematic.

The summer update also adds steering, voice dictation and changes to placement and routing. The post is by Dirk Stoop, Flux's head of product. It shows no agent session and no board.
