Firment: a Rust firmware agent that builds, flashes and checks its work on the board

Firment is a Rust coding agent for firmware that builds with the project's own toolchain and flashes and debugs over probe-rs. The README ranks evidence: a photo of a lit LED or a logic-analyzer capture outranks the model's word. A red-team mode fuzzes the UART of firmware the agent wrote. The README shows client screenshots, no hardware run.

Briefing

The README's evidence ladder has five levels: code written, build accepted, firmware on the target, serial output or registers matching, and an observed physical effect. For the top level, an observe tool runs local image analysis on photos to report whether an LED is lit or blinking and at what rate. The la tool measures frequency and duty cycle from sigrok-cli captures. A low-confidence measurement cannot pass an assertion.

Debugging goes through probe-rs with no OpenOCD or GDB. A forensic command halts the target after a hard fault and decodes the fault registers and stack against the ELF. The red-team corpus is seeded, so a crash replays from a seed and a case id. The project is at version 1.0.0-rc.
