Briefing
Tools such as measure, get_waveform, psu_set_voltage and psu_ramp_with_dmm take a request for a measurement instead of raw SCPI strings. The scope server uses stdio; the GPIB server runs over streamable HTTP as a Windows service. Every tool that sets a voltage or current checks it against the instrument's limits on the server.
In the published lamp sweep, the supply and the meter disagree by 2.36 V at a 12 V setting, lost in thin leads; thicker leads cut that to 0.11 V. The filament's hot-to-cold resistance ratio comes out at about 7:1 from the meter reading and about 3:1 from the supply's. The README warns that the GPIB bench has no authentication by default.
