rigol-mcp: an MCP server for Rigol oscilloscopes, tested on the DHO814

rigol-mcp connects any stdio MCP client to a Rigol oscilloscope over LAN and runs only in a container. Its tools set up channels, take measurements and save waveform captures and screenshots. The DHO814 is the main tested model, and the server labels each capability fact by how it was verified. The README lists smoke tests run without an input signal.

Briefing

The server reaches the scope on TCP port 5555 and runs under Docker or Apple's container. Beyond channel setup and capture, the tools cover raw SCPI, frequency, FFT and statistics analysis, saved setups, protocol decode, mask testing and recording. The primary target is a DHO814 on firmware 00.01.05.

The README reports acceptance tests for many features alongside the signal-free smoke tests; CAN and parallel decode remain unverified. The project is MIT licensed and based on erebusnz/rigol-mcp by Stig Manning.
