Tramuntana: an RP2350 bench tool with bus sniffers, scope and logic analyzer for agents

Tramuntana is an open bench tool built on the RP2350 (Raspberry Pi Pico 2) and Zephyr that works over one USB cable. It has SPI and I2C master and sniffer modes, a 2-channel 500 kS/s scope, a waveform generator, an 8-channel logic analyzer and a UART bridge. Its Python package adds an MCP server. The README shows no captures.

Briefing

The logic analyzer captures at up to 150 MS/s with hardware edge triggers and exports VCD, and the scope channels are 12-bit. SPI runs at up to 75 MHz, I2C has scan, register access and bus recovery, and the tool can emulate I2C and SPI devices. The UART bridge drives an ESP32's reset and boot pins from RTS and DTR, so esptool works through it.

There are two boards: tramuntana_r1a and the workshop version, tramuntana_lite_r1a, which is a Pico 2 on a carrier. KiCad files are included. The command tramuntana ai install claude registers the MCP server and a tramuntana-debug skill.
