Cadence launches AuraStack, an agentic AI platform for PCB and advanced packaging design

Cadence announced the AuraStack AI Super Agent, an agentic platform in Allegro AI Studio for PCB and advanced packaging design. It coordinates domain agents from system planning through place and route, manufacturability checks and multiphysics signoff, on the same architecture as Cadence's ChipStack agent. Cadence says it will be available in 2026 and cites 2X faster time to market.

Briefing

The release says the agent models electrical, thermal and mechanical behavior together, including SI/PI, stress, drop, vibration and fatigue. It ties in Cadence's existing solvers: Celsius for thermal, Clarity for 3D EM, MSC Nastran and Marc for mechanics and Sigrity X for signal and power integrity. NVIDIA Blackwell and CUDA-X accelerate it.

Every number comes from Cadence or a partner. Cadence cites 15X productivity. NVIDIA cites up to 20X faster multiphysics with the Millennium M2000 supercomputer, and TSMC cites 100X productivity from substrate auto routing. FORVIA HELLA says AI-assisted placement of 300 components went from up to four days to four minutes. The release is dated 16 July 2026 and shows no design run.
