DRCY: AllSpice's multi-agent check of schematic connections against datasheets

AllSpice published a paper on DRCY, a multi-agent LLM system that checks schematic connections pin by pin against component datasheets. It runs as a CI/CD action when an engineer submits a design review on AllSpice Hub and posts inline comments. A consensus agent reconciles repeated runs. The authors say it runs in production; the paper gives no accuracy figures.

Briefing

AllSpice Hub first parses the design files, from Altium, OrCAD, KiCad and three other formats, into JSON. A selection agent splits each page into functional groups, such as a regulator with its feedback network. A retrieval pipeline finds each part's datasheet, extracts the relevant pages and has a critic agent score the result, retrying up to five times. Several review agents check each group pin by pin, and an error-grouping agent merges findings that share a root cause into one comment.

The authors write that a 10-page schematic with 50 to 100 unique components takes under 20 minutes, with a stronger Anthropic model for review and a weaker one for datasheet extraction. They say Fortune 500 teams, an autonomous vehicle company and a commercial space company use it. The paper links a demo video.
