HeyPCB MCP: design KiCad boards from Claude Code, Codex or Cursor

HeyPCB's MCP server connects Claude Code, Codex or Cursor to its hosted KiCad board-design service. An agent can ask HeyPCB to build the whole board with build_board, or add parts and connections itself and call check_board until each finding is fixed. A local npm package adds KiCad project upload and Gerber export. The vendor README shows no fabricated board.

Briefing

The hosted server runs at api.heypcb.ai/mcp behind OAuth. The local npm package proxies every tool and adds upload_kicad_project and save_export. When the agent designs the board itself, it places parts and blocks and sets the outline, design rules and copper pours. Each check_board finding names the call that fixes it in a fixWith field.

HeyPCB makes the service, and the README links a Billing section whose terms we did not read. The ESP32-S3 devkit layout HeyPCB published is not in this README, and we have not checked it.
