Hydron launches as a datasheet-grounded coding agent for embedded work

H2Loop launched Hydron on Hacker News, an embedded coding agent for VS Code and the terminal that answers from pre-indexed datasheets. The launch post lists more than 580 indexed platforms and peripherals, including STM32, ESP32 and RP2040 parts. An agentic serial monitor shipped at launch; GDB integration and a log reader were promised within 2 weeks.

Briefing

The CLI and extension run on macOS, Linux and Windows. Besides the pre-indexed list, which also covers AM6 parts, sensors and motor drivers, users can index their own PDFs of up to 5,000 pages. Prashant, who posted for H2Loop, says that takes about 30 minutes, and that errata are ingested along with the datasheets. The post links a demo of sleep-mode logging on an STM32U385.

In the thread, a commenter asked how Hydron's hallucinations differ from those of 3 similar tools; the thread holds no direct answer. We read the post and the thread but did not watch the demo.
