LabMCP: open-source MCP connectors for lab instruments, with safety limits

K-Dense's LabMCP connects Claude and other assistants to lab instruments through 32 MCP servers. They cover balances, hotplate stirrers, syringe pumps, spectrometers, potentiostats and other instruments. Each server checks commands against user-set safety limits and logs them, and each has a practice mode. The README marks all 32 as tested only in simulation, from the makers' manuals.

Briefing

The 32 servers expose 411 tools between them, work with Claude, Cursor, VS Code and Codex, and carry the Apache-2.0 license. Each connector takes safety limits with --limit, writes a command log with --audit-log and runs in practice mode with --simulate. The catalog includes Mettler Toledo balances, New Era and Tecan Cavro syringe pumps, Opentrons OT-2 and Flex robots and Atlas Scientific EZO sensors.

None of the connectors is marked as verified on hardware. The README says each stays marked simulated until a user confirms it on an instrument.
