mcp-ppk2: a Nordic PPK2 power profiler for Claude Code

mcp-ppk2 connects Claude Code to a Nordic Power Profiler Kit II, which powers the device under test. Its 8 MCP tools capture current at 100 kHz and split each run into boot, radio TX, radio RX, idle and sleep phases. Runs can be compared within a session; flashing happens elsewhere. The README shows example output, not measured captures.

Why this evidence label?

README documents wiring for three modes and the tool API; no captures or logs from a real profiling run are shown.

Briefing

Captures run at 100 kHz and are downsampled to 1 kHz for phase detection, which places phase boundaries at threshold crossings with 10% hysteresis. The full-rate samples are kept for CSV export. ppk2_compare sets the latest measurement against an earlier one from the same session.

The README describes 3 wiring modes. In manual mode the user unplugs the board's USB; in ppps mode uhubctl switches VBUS on a hub port; in jtag mode the target is powered only by the PPK2. The README warns that many hubs that claim per-port power switching do not cut VBUS. The server needs Python 3.10 or newer, and Claude Code is the only client it names.
