UST and Anthropic alliance puts Claude Code into UST-iDEC silicon validation

UST announced an alliance with Anthropic that puts Claude into the engineering platforms UST runs for clients. In UST-iDEC, its hardware and silicon validation platform, Claude Code reads chip pinouts and schematics, then writes and runs regression test scripts that engineers used to write by hand. UST says the platform already cuts validation cycles by 50 to 70%.

Briefing

UST says UST-iDEC already runs a closed-loop, agentic validation pipeline that compresses four-day turnarounds to 48 hours. Claude is being added as its reasoning layer. Claude Code handles the pinouts, schematics and regression scripts, and Claude models compare live edge data with digital twins to flag firmware regressions and signal-integrity faults. The release names semiconductor, automotive, telecom, embedded and IoT companies as the platform's users.

The alliance also covers UST's CarePath, IntelliOps and FinX platforms, and UST plans to certify 20,000 staff on Claude. The release, dated 9 July 2026, names no customer and shows no validation run. The cycle-time figures describe the platform before Claude was added.
