espforge: an ESP-IDF starter and agent harness for Claude Code-led ESP32 work

espforge packages the ESP-IDF v5.5.4 framework and working method its author used to build an ESP32 weather display with Claude Code in 6 days. Its firmware components handle Wi-Fi setup and over-the-air updates with rollback. PC tools flash, probe, screenshot and test the board without a person. The README shows no recorded agent runs.

Briefing

The starter was extracted from esp32-s3-weather, which went through about 30 releases in those 6 days. The Wi-Fi component has a captive portal and Easy Connect, and the device serves an HTTPS settings page with a per-device key, pulls OTA updates from GitHub Pages and has a diagnostics module and a USB test console. On the PC side are a file-based flash helper, a test harness with a performance baseline, screenshots, host unit tests and Playwright tests.

The starter app targets the Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-AMOLED-1.75 and also runs in the browser as WebAssembly. docs/LESSONS.md holds more than 150 lessons from the original build.
