wirestudio: an agent-driven design studio from ESPHome YAML to PCB and enclosure

wirestudio generates pin assignments, ESPHome YAML, a KiCad schematic and PCB, a JLCPCB fab bundle and an OpenSCAD enclosure from one design file. It covers ESP32-family boards and the ESP8266. A built-in Claude agent or any MCP client can call its 53 tools, 22 of which reach hardware. The README says those were exercised on a live bench during bring-up.

Briefing

The component library carries electrical data that ESPHome does not model, such as voltage rails, current draw, pull-ups and per-pin capabilities. A constraint solver assigns legal pins from it, and a validator flags boot-strap, ADC2-with-Wi-Fi and voltage conflicts. One WebSerial flash dialog covers six firmware frameworks. The remote workbench flashes boards attached to a Raspberry Pi that exposes them over the network.

The README sorts features into tiers by how each was checked. The YAML, KiCad and enclosure outputs are gated in CI on every bundled example. It says the LoRaWAN paths were validated end to end on TTGO and Heltec radio boards against a live ChirpStack server, with no automated live-device gate. The built-in Claude agent is marked experimental and scored nightly on 28 tasks.
