CODEX KEYBORED: a vibe-coded macropad taken from prompt to KiCad, firmware and live JLC quotes

CODEX KEYBORED is a parody of the Codex Micro macropad, designed through prompts alone from Fusion 360 mechanics to a six-layer KiCad board. The repository adds STM32F072 USB HID firmware, a factory test and JLC quotes captured on 17 July. The README does not name the agent, and says no fabricated board has been brought up.

Briefing

The README starts from public renders of the Codex Micro, scaled into a set of dimensions, each labeled confirmed, measured, inferred or engineered. These became a parametric 108 x 108 mm Fusion 360 assembly with four CNC parts. The 90 x 90 mm board carries 12 keys, an encoder, a touch pad, a joystick and 24 RGB LEDs, and its committed DRC report shows 0 violations.

The captured quotes come to $222.56 for the CNC parts and a G-65 O-ring and $193.01 for a JLCPCB turnkey base. Programming, functional test, manual operations and specialty parts are quoted only after review. In the planned factory route, JLC flashes the STM32, exercises all 20 USB HID events and inspects every LED.
