Draeger-IT: Claude Code versus Claude.ai for Arduino UNO and ESP32-C3 projects (German)

In a German video, Stefan Draeger compares Claude Code with the Claude.ai chat on an Arduino UNO R3 and an ESP32-C3 Super Mini. Claude.ai writes a sketch inside the chat, while Claude Code works on a project's files directly. Draeger says generated code still has to be checked and tested. A blog post goes with the 7-minute video.

Briefing

In the Claude.ai half, Draeger asks for an Arduino UNO sketch that blinks an LED on pin 7 once a second, then refines it in follow-up messages, such as replacing delay() with millis(). The code stays in the chat, and he copies it into the Arduino IDE and uploads it himself. Claude Code reads the project folder, edits files, runs terminal commands and tests, and can prepare Git commits.

Draeger writes that he is only starting out with Claude Code and that the series records what he tries. The blog post names GitHub Copilot's agent mode as another tool that works on project files. The next part installs Claude Code on Windows 11 under WSL.
