JLCPCB tests Claude Code on a real board layout in EasyEDA Pro

A JLCPCB blog author had Claude Code with Opus 5.5 rebuild a CH32V006 component tester in EasyEDA Pro from a PDF schematic. Working through a local API bridge, Claude swapped 8 out-of-stock parts, placed 47 parts and routed the 2-layer board with Freerouting to zero DRC errors. The post says the board was not fabricated or visually reviewed.

Briefing

Claude ran JavaScript inside EasyEDA Pro 3.2.149 through a local Node bridge and the Run API Gateway extension. The design spans 47 parts, 27 of them unique LCSC devices, on 3 schematic pages, and the author approved each of the 8 stock swaps. The routed board has 443 segments, 28 vias and all 33 nets connected.

Parts placed through the API lost their attributes, and the bridge died twice from low memory. The API has no autorouter, which is why routing went to Freerouting. The post lists open items: no visual review, the switch footprint, a USB-C overhang, battery polarity, CH32V006 sourcing and no exported Gerbers.
