Briefing
/pcb-new splits a description into about 12 generic part specs and searches the LCSC catalog for each. It stops at a BOM checkpoint that flags extended-tier parts, which carry a $3 per-part assembly setup fee, and waits for approval. pcb_generate then fetches pin maps from EasyEDA, places KiCad footprints on a three-band grid and wires every net. The README gives about 90 seconds for a first run.
The plugin does no routing, no DRC and no placement beyond that grid. Part data comes live from jlcsearch.tscircuit.com and easyeda.com, neither run by JLCPCB. The first release hardcoded one such URL; upstream retired it and sourcing broke silently for months, so a weekly CI job now tests both services. KiCad 11 removed the bindings pcb_generate needs.
