Active-Pro MCP server: Claude Code analyzes a three-FPGA boot capture

Active Firmware Tools connected Claude Code to its Active-Pro logic analyzer and firmware debugger through an MCP server over TCP. In the two-minute video the agent triggers a capture on a custom board with three FPGAs running RISC-V soft cores. It reads firmware trace output alongside RGMII, USB enumeration and SCSI traffic and checks it for errors.

Briefing

Active-Pro records instrumentation output from inside the running firmware as well as pin-level signals. In the demo the agent sees trace messages from all three soft cores on the same timeline as the RGMII and CHSI bus traffic during start-up. The MCP server ships with Active-Pro v5.10 and exposes more than 40 tools through the Active-Pro Automation API.

Active Firmware Tools made the video to demo its own product, on its own board.
