Nod: a three-key pad for answering Claude Code permission prompts

Nod answers Claude Code permission prompts from a 3-key pad built on a Seeed XIAO ESP32-S3: No, Always and Yes. The keys send the desktop app's shortcuts or, after a two-key hold, the terminal's numbered options. It works over USB-C or Bluetooth. The author says the Clawd-shaped variant was tested on hardware; the README shows renders, not photos.

Briefing

The desktop keymap sends Esc, Ctrl+Shift+Enter and Ctrl+Enter. Holding NO and ALWAYS for 3 s switches to the terminal keymap. Plugged in, Nod is a USB keyboard; otherwise it pairs as a Bluetooth keyboard named Nod and goes into deep sleep after 2 minutes on battery.

The parts are a XIAO ESP32-S3, an FPC antenna, 3 MX switches and a 250 mAh LiPo, with firmware built in PlatformIO on NimBLE. The plain case body has not been printed yet. The Clawd variant, licensed CC BY-NC 4.0, is the one the author built.
