nixkor moonraker-mcp: Claude queries and controls a Klipper 3D printer

moonraker-mcp runs next to Moonraker on a Raspberry Pi and exposes 43 tools for a Klipper 3D printer to Claude Desktop or Claude Code. Stop, pause, cancel and heater commands wait for a second call with confirmation; other G-code, including motion, runs at once. The README advises keeping the endpoint on a trusted LAN.

Briefing

Gated tools do nothing on the first call and return a description of what would happen, which the client shows as a yes or no; the action runs only when called again with confirm=true. Heater G-code is recognized by command, from M104 and M190 to SET_HEATER_TEMPERATURE. One server can front several printers listed in a TOML file, and get_file reads at most 32 KB per call.

The endpoint binds to 0.0.0.0 on port 8790 and is unauthenticated unless MCP_AUTH_TOKEN is set. The server needs Python 3.10 or later. Many Klipper hosts on Debian Bullseye or the legacy Raspberry Pi OS image ship 3.9 or earlier, so the README suggests a Bookworm image, Docker or pyenv.
