Tiny Engineer: a desk robot that acts out what your coding agent is doing

Tiny Engineer is an open-source desk robot that acts out a coding agent's work. It looks around while files are read, types while code is written and rings a bell when the task ends. An ESP32-C3 on an open KiCad control board drives five SG90 servos and an OLED face. The README links a demo video and build photos.

Why this evidence label?

Demo video (youtu.be/RX_QRxdXMjg) and photos in the README show the robot moving and reacting to agent activity.

Briefing

Hooks installed with npx -y tiny-engineer setup send the agent's state to the robot over Wi-Fi or USB serial; the README names Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity. Anything that can make an HTTP POST can drive it too, including Codex and plain scripts, and a /play endpoint handles speech.

The README rates the build as medium. You print the body or order prints, order the control board from any fab, plug in the ESP32-C3, servos, OLED and speaker, and flash it. It also needs M2 screws and a 5 V USB supply of at least 2 A.

The author is polling interest in an assembled board at about $15 to $20. The software is MIT licensed and the hardware CERN-OHL-S-2.0.
