Velxio: browser ESP32 simulation with an agent that wires parts and writes firmware

Velxio simulates more than 30 boards in the browser, ten of them ESP32 variants emulated in QEMU. Its AI agent, on paid plans, wires parts on the canvas, writes the firmware, compiles it and reads the serial monitor. All of it is simulation; creator David Montero Crespo writes that the build is the binary you would flash.

Briefing

ESP32 boards run on a QEMU fork that covers the Xtensa LX6 and LX7 cores and RISC-V; AVR and RP2040 boards are emulated in the browser itself. The agent writes ESP-IDF, Arduino or MicroPython code. Besides the serial monitor, it can read simulated displays and press simulated buttons.

Velxio is licensed AGPLv3, with a commercial license on offer, and self-hosts as one Docker image. The Espressif article counts more than 30 boards; the current README says 40. The article does not describe exporting a build to a physical board.
