Claude Code designs, builds and scope-tests an FPGA low-pass filter from one prompt
In an Octopart video, one prompt sends Claude Code through a digital low-pass filter on a Digilent Cmod S7 FPGA board. It writes and simulates the filter, then programs the board over JTAG. Through MCP servers for an Analog Discovery 2 and a Rigol scope, it sweeps test tones at 1, 5 and 15 kHz against the 10 kHz cutoff.

BREMA: an agent commissions KNX devices through a stick that is its own MCP server
BREMA is busware firmware for its TUL KNX stick that answers MCP over plain HTTP on the local network. An agent can address a factory-fresh KNX actuator, write its tables and parameters and add it to Home Assistant without ETS. The README says the commissioning example ran on hardware but shows no photos or logs.

AURIX AI Agent: Copilot builds and flashes Infineon AURIX firmware over MCP
AURIX AI Agent connects GitHub Copilot's agent mode in VS Code to Infineon AURIX iLLD drivers, code examples and documentation through MCP. Copilot then builds with GCC and flashes the board with AURIX Flasher. The author's linked videos show a one-sentence prompt blinking every LED on a TC387 and a pose-detection game on a TC375. The extension is Windows-only.

hardware-logging: crash-aware serial capture built for coding agents
The hwlog daemon in hardware-logging owns a board's serial port and records every session to disk, split by boot. It decodes ESP32 panics against ELF files archived at flash time and pauses capture while the flasher runs. Agents query it through bounded CLI commands or an MCP server. Other boards get generic capture; the README shows no hardware session.

Firment: a Rust firmware agent that builds, flashes and checks its work on the board
Firment is a Rust coding agent for firmware that builds with the project's own toolchain and flashes and debugs over probe-rs. The README ranks evidence: a photo of a lit LED or a logic-analyzer capture outranks the model's word. A red-team mode fuzzes the UART of firmware the agent wrote. The README shows client screenshots, no hardware run.

Seeed CodeCraft writes the firmware for a XIAO ESP32S3 camera rover
Edison Science Corner built a Wi-Fi camera rover on a Seeed XIAO ESP32S3 Sense with an L293D motor driver without writing code. Seeed's CodeCraft assistant generated the firmware and wiring instructions and flashed the board from the browser. The 5-minute video shows assembly, the 3D-printed chassis, live streaming and joystick control. Its description carries Seeed affiliate links.

Adsum IoT Coder finds a disabled RF front-end with a BLE sniffer it flashed itself
Adsum Networks' IoT Coder agent debugged a Fanstel BWG840 gateway whose nRF52840 BLE scanner ran cleanly but received nothing. It flashed an nRF52840 dongle as a Bluetooth sniffer and compared the air with RTT logs: 36 advertisements captured, none received. The cause was an RF front-end that was never enabled. This is a vendor demo of its own product.

100-part test: Claude-generated KiCad symbols show fewer pin errors than the stock library
Dave Vandenbout ran his datasheet-to-symbol-lib Claude skill on 100 parts with 20 or more pins and diffed the results against KiCad's stock symbols. With every difference checked against the datasheet, generated symbols had a 2.77% pin error rate and the library 21.92%. The README notes that the same agent generated the symbols and judged both sides.

Flux opens a public MCP server so coding agents can read live PCB designs
Flux added a public MCP server to its PCB design tool in its summer update. External agents such as Claude, Cursor and Codex can query a board's live context and drive design changes. The post gives firmware headers generated from actual pin assignments and net names as one use. The update also adds a lower-cost chat mode.
