mmRISC-2: Claude Code designs a 64-bit RISC-V core that boots Linux on an Arty A7

Munetomo Maruyama had Claude Code design mmRISC-2, a 64-bit RV64GC RISC-V core, and brought it up on a Digilent Arty A7-100T. Claude wrote the specification, SystemVerilog RTL, testbenches and documents; Maruyama ran Vivado and the board. Bring-up logs in the repository record Linux 7.2 booting to a shell at 50 MHz and a 120-minute stress test passing.

C64U Antigravity Bridge: an agent writes and runs code on real Commodore 64 hardware

C64U Antigravity Bridge connects Google Antigravity and other coding agents to a Commodore 64 Ultimate or Ultimate 64 through the machine's REST and DMA interface. The agent writes 6502 assembly or Python, which the bridge compiles and pushes into RAM, then reads back screen memory, color RAM and registers. The README shows no photos or captures of a run.

platformio.mcp: PlatformIO build, flash and serial tools for coding agents

platformio.mcp exposes PlatformIO to coding agents as 40 MCP tools in a Python server. Besides builds and serial or OTA flashing, it decodes ESP32 and Cortex-M crash backtraces, reads core dumps, checks partition tables and runs GDB sessions. Its flash-and-verify tool reads the boot log until an expected line or a crash appears. The README shows no board captures.

LLMs confidently lie about your microcontroller: board details that broke generated code

In a dev.to post, an embedded developer lists board facts that broke LLM-written firmware after it compiled and flashed. An ST7789 panel needed a 34-pixel offset. A Waveshare ESP32-C6 board shares SPI lines between its display and SD card, and ESP32 ADC2 stops working while Wi-Fi is on. The author's answer is mcu-skills, Claude Code skills for 8 boards.

Using AI agents in VS Code to build, test and debug STM32 firmware

Tech-AD-venture's 23-minute video walks through using AI agents in VS Code for STM32 firmware, contrasting autocomplete with task-based agents. Tools covered include GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex and PlatformIO. An STM32 RTOS example runs from requirement to review. Its description lists MCP hardware access as a possibility; we could not confirm on-board debugging in the video.

Lattice Prompt connects coding agents to the Radiant FPGA toolchain over MCP

Lattice Semiconductor released Lattice Prompt, a free MCP link between agentic IDEs such as Claude Code or Cursor and its Radiant FPGA software. Lattice says an agent can run simulation, synthesis, place and route, timing analysis and bitstream generation from plain-language requests, grounded in its datasheets. The 16 September release reports productivity gains of 10x or more without a benchmark.

Open-source toolkit for agent-driven RHEED during thin-film growth

Asraful Haque and colleagues released an open-source toolkit for agent-driven RHEED (reflection high-energy electron diffraction) on a pulsed laser deposition system. It adds programmable electron-optics control, automatic beam alignment and rocking-curve capture, with analysis served over MCP. The paper describes a demo driven by natural-language requests. We found no code link.
