ADS-B desk radar built with Claude Code: Raspberry Pi, RTL-SDR and an ESP32-S3 screen

adsb-radar decodes ADS-B on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W with an RTL-SDR. An n8n workflow on a Raspberry Pi 5 picks the plane visible from a window and looks up its route, and an ESP32-S3-BOX-3 screen shows it. The owner says all the code came from Claude Code sessions. The README reports 4,623 sightings in 12 days.

    Tide & Wind Tracker: byte-exact hardware-in-the-loop tests for e-paper

Tide & Wind Tracker shows tides and wind on an M5Stack PaperColor and tests its e-paper rendering on the ESP32-S3 itself. Test firmware renders fixtures sent over USB and returns the canvas bytes for comparison with golden images. Claude Code iterated against those tests while a person approved every change. The README has a photo of it running.

Claude Code identifies three unlabeled ESP32 boards and writes firmware for each

Creator Magic plugged three unlabeled ESP32 boards into a Mac one at a time and had Claude Code identify each over USB. Claude then wrote different firmware for each: a sea-conditions display, a Bluetooth audio spectrum analyzer and an e-paper sound picture. The 23-minute video shows all three running and a display offset Claude diagnosed from a photo.

co-arm: a 3D-printed four-joint camera arm that Codex can see through and move

co-arm is a 3D-printed four-joint camera arm built from ST3215 serial-bus servos, an ESP32 servo HAT and a Raspberry Pi 4. Codex previews each move before running it, then reads the joints and camera to check the result. The author says Codex has moved the physical arm; demo media is not published yet. The software is source-available for noncommercial use.

VibePulse: an ESP32-S3 desk screen that shows agent activity and answers prompts with a tap

Niclas Vestlund's VibePulse shows Claude Code and Codex usage and agent activity on a Waveshare ESP32-S3 AMOLED panel. A full-screen alert appears when an agent waits for input, and a tap answers supported prompts. A Python service runs on macOS or Windows; cloud relays are off by default. The README links a YouTube Short of the panels on his desk.

Seeed CodeCraft writes the firmware for a XIAO ESP32S3 camera rover

Edison Science Corner built a Wi-Fi camera rover on a Seeed XIAO ESP32S3 Sense with an L293D motor driver without writing code. Seeed's CodeCraft assistant generated the firmware and wiring instructions and flashed the board from the browser. The 5-minute video shows assembly, the 3D-printed chassis, live streaming and joystick control. Its description carries Seeed affiliate links.

Adsum IoT Coder finds a disabled RF front-end with a BLE sniffer it flashed itself

Adsum Networks' IoT Coder agent debugged a Fanstel BWG840 gateway whose nRF52840 BLE scanner ran cleanly but received nothing. It flashed an nRF52840 dongle as a Bluetooth sniffer and compared the air with RTT logs: 36 advertisements captured, none received. The cause was an RF front-end that was never enabled. This is a vendor demo of its own product.

StackChan Remote MCP: Codex controls a CoreS3 robot's face, camera and touch

StackChan Remote MCP connects Codex to an M5Stack CoreS3 StackChan robot through a FastMCP server and an MQTT broker on a VPS. Codex switches the robot's expression, gets camera photos back as MCP images and reads screen and head-pad touches from an unread queue. The README reports an end-to-end test on a CoreS3 but shows no photos or logs.

Programming the Fri3d Camp 2024 badge with Claude Code

David Steeman used Claude Code to reverse-engineer and program the Fri3d Camp 2024 badge, an ESP32-S3 handheld with an LCD. Claude backed up the flash in ROM mode, worked out the OTA boot scheme and wrote a serial upload tool. Steeman says the app launcher and name badge it built ran on the device. The photos show only the hardware.

Claude Code reverse-engineers a standing desk's keypad protocol so an ESP32 can drive it

Dimitri Sudomoin spent an afternoon with Claude Code finding the handshake a FlexiSpot E7 Pro Plus controller expects from its keypad. A $7 ESP32 now imitates the keypad so Home Assistant can move the desk. Claude Code also mapped a Plaud Note recorder's Bluetooth protocol over about 5 days. He writes that the models are about 90% accurate.

Codex builds an LVGL speedometer dashboard on a bare LilyGo T-Display S3

Craig Hollabaugh had Codex identify a blank LilyGo T-Display S3, install the toolchain and write a display test in an unedited session. When the screen stayed dark, the agent found the panel is an ST7789 on an 8-bit parallel bus and rewrote its driver. It then built an LVGL 9.2 speedometer and tachometer dashboard, on camera throughout.

A 128-tube VFD clock where Claude wrote all 8,000 lines of firmware

Cliff Lasser built a clock from 128 Soviet IV-25 VFD tubes on eight boards, each run by an Arduino Nano ESP32 over RS485. He wrote about 15 pages of specification, and Claude wrote all the code, now over 8,000 lines. The first version, about 3,500 lines, ran on the first try with one bug: the display was rotated 180 degrees.

Pixel Pets: a father and son build M5Stack virtual pets with Claude-written firmware

Marcel Dütscher and his 10-year-old son built Pixel Pets, virtual pets for three M5Stack boards, with Claude writing the firmware under their direction. The CoreS3 version adds voice control through M5Stack's Module LLM, and pets swap gifts over ESP-NOW. Photos, a 10-second clip and a two-minute reel show the pets running on the devices.
